| One of the largest kite festivals in the Midwest and attracts kitefliers from all over. Come and marvel at the giant show kites, precision stunt kite teams flying dual- and quad-line kites, spectacular and colorful ground displays, running of the bols and games for kids. Learn how to fly two and quad line stunt kites from the experts representing kite manufacturers. There will be a night fly on Saturday night and a bonfire on the beach. New this year will be the fireworks finale after the release of Sky Lanterns on the beach. On Sunday, there will be free kite making for kids and another day of kite flying and performances. Free shuttle service available to and from the beach at designated downtown areas. |

Michigan native Claudia Schmidt is a musician who has recorded folk, jazz and blues. She sings and plays guitar and Appalachian dulcimer. She has appeared numerous times on the radio program, A Prairie Home Companion, and has starred in an hour long documentary called "I Sing Because I Can't Fly." It will be a Mill event that you'll remember for a long, long time!

Friday, September 17, 2010 will feature a new night and location for the Guardian Kids Fun Run, which will now be held at Fox Cities Stadium in Grand Chute.
Saturday, September 18, 2010 is the date for the Time Warner Cable 5k Run/Walk at Fox Valley Technical College in Grand Chute.
The distance events will be on Sunday, September 19, 2010 with the Community First Fox Cities Marathon, the Half Marathon (featuring Open and Competitive Walk divisions), and the Orthopedic & Sports Institute Relay Marathon. |
