Bait and loaner rods and reels will be provided at this event loaded with fun activities, door prizes, and a low-key fishing contest for all young shore anglers. Prizes will be awarded for overall length of fish caught. Free refreshments for all and t-shirts for youth arriving between 8:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m.

Bring your fishing poles and favorite bait and come fish at Family Fishing Day. Fishing equipment will be available if you need to borrow it. While fishing, ask local Professional Angler Greg Karch your fishing questions and watch him clean fish so that you have boneless fillets. Prizes will be awarded for biggest and smallest fish in two age categories: 3 to 8 and 9 to 16. Get the net and fish on!

Registration begins at 8 AM at Idlewild Park, located behind the Village Hall at 2999 Lakeview Drive.
Registration before June 21 is $15 a person, $10 for children under age 12 and $45 for a family of up to five members with each additional member costing $10. Registration after June 21 and on race day is $20 a person, $10 for children under age 12, or $55 for a family of up to five members with each additional member costing $10.
Money raised will go to local charities: The Golden House, Paul's Pantry, Families of Children with Cancer, The Ecumenical Partnership for Housing, and the Brown County Food & Hunger Network.
