To All My Dancers and all Dance Enthusiasts;
As many of you are aware I have been hoping for sometime now to relocate back to the downtown area. As a long-time member of the Fond du Lac Downtown Partnership, and a downtown resident, my heart lies there and my desire to have my dance studio downtown has grown stronger since my move to 325 Winnebago Drive 3 years ago.
I have been working for the past few months on some options for downtown spaces, but unfortunately many of those options aren't as feasible as I had hoped for, but in the past week I have come upon what I feel is a great solution (even if just temporary) and I am very excited!
I started my dancing career when I was three years old with the late Cleo Smith. Mary Wempner was his assistant, and after his passing she took over his dance legacy. Mary started Wempner's School of Dance when I was about 14 years old. I danced for many years with her until I discovered ballroom dancing when I was in my 30's. When I decided to begin teaching Ballroom dance in Fond du lac, Mary and her daughter Ann (who now runs Wempner's) were kind enough to allow me to run many of my classes at their studio until I found my permanent location on Main Street in 2005. Well, in true "Circle of Life" fashion, I now have the opportunity to re-join forces with Wempner's and run classes out of their state-of-the-art downtown dance studio until I find a permanent home on Main Street.
So as of April 1st, we will no longer have classes at 325 Winnebago Drive. I will be moving my things out of the studio and into storage on Saturday and Sunday April 2nd and 3rd - any help would be greatly appreciated!! :)
DON'T forget our DANCE PARTY this Saturday Night at SHUT UP & DANCE - 325 Winnebago Drive. We have a Beginner HUSTLE lesson at 6 PM followed by open dancing from 7:00-10:00 PM. We will also be celebrating the 80th Birthday of a long-time student of mine Elizabeth (Betty) Rozek! But keep this quiet as it's a surprise!! Admission is just $10 and light refreshments will be served. See you there!!
** REMEMBER in addition to group class instruction, Semi-private and private lessons are also available by appointment for just $60/hr. Up to 6 people may partake in the group at the $60 rate. After that it's just $10 additional per person. We are also available to perform and/or offer instruction at your company or service organization events. We offer Bridal packages as well!
Below is the new class location schedule and I have also attached an APRIL calendar in PDF format for you to print out. Please feel free to contact me (Julie) at 920-979-3434 for more information or any additional details!
